SCIM

SCIM is a tool that allows you to securely sync user data between multiple applications. With SCIM integration, you can do the following from third-party applications like Okta:

• Create new users in CXone.

• Update CXone user data.

• Deactivate users in CXone.

Key Facts About SCIM Integration

• After SCIM integration, changes in Okta user accounts will automatically update employee accounts in CXone.

• Information flows in one direction, from Okta to CXone. Changes in CXone will not update Okta.

• You can create, update, and deactivate CXone employee accounts with Okta.

• Four fields are required when you create a user in CXone with Okta: Username, First Name, Last Name, and Email. You can only use Okta to edit these fields.

• You can also use the Display Name, Middle Name, Mobile Number, Time Zone, and Type fields when you create a user. Before you can import these fields, you have to enable them for your tenant High-level organizational grouping used to manage technical support, billing, and global settings for your CXone environment on the Account Settings page.

• All users created with Okta will be assigned to the Agent role in CXone. You can change the user's role in CXone after they're created. If you don't have an Agent role in CXone, then the user cannot be created through Okta.
