Import Forecast Data

If you want to generate a staffing plan using your own forecast data, you can import the data in this page.

You import forecast data using a CSV file. You can download the template for the CSV in the Import Forecast Data window.

If you upload your own CSV file, make sure it follows the template format.

After you import the data, you can create a new job to generate staffing plans in the Generate Forecast page.

You can watch a video that shows how to import forecasting data to the CSV file.

To import forecast data:

  1. Click the app selector and select CXone WFM.

  2. Go to ForecastingImport Forecast Data.

  3. Click Import Forecast Data.

  4. Define the forecast time period.

    The forecasting job will generate a staffing plan for this selected time, even if the CSV has more data.

  5. Define the Forecast time increment: The forecast and staffing plan will display data based on the increment you selected.

  6. Click Choose File to locate your CSV file, then click Open.

    You can download the CSV file template from the Import Forecast Data window. Instructions for the CSV are in the template.

    Click Import.

    After you import the data, you can create a new job to generate staffing plans in the Generate Forecast page.

Create a Forecast Job with Imported Forecast Data

After you import forecast data to CXone WFM, you can create a forecast job to generate a staffing plan. This is done in the Generate Forecast page.

Once you create a forecasting job with imported forecast data, you start from step 3 of the forecasting process. You won't be able to edit the forecasting parameters (step 1) or historical data (step 2).

After you create a new forecast job, you can use it to generate a staffing plan.

To add imported forecast data:

  1. Click the app selector and select CXone WFM.

  2. Go to ForecastingGenerate Forecast.

  3. Click Add Imported Forecast Data.

  4. Enter a Job Name and select the Imported forecast data.

  5. Click Create Job.

    You can create a staffing plan with this job. Keep in mind, you cannot edit the forecast parameters (step 1) or historical data (step 2). These are part of the imported data.
