REMFIELD

This help page is for Studio. This information is also available for Desktop Studio.

A rectangle with an X on the lower right corner.

Renames a field member from a delimited string array separated by a pipe symbol (|). Remfield treats strings the same as Field action, but instead of reading the string, Remfield removes a member from the string, for example:

  • String: one,two,three,four,five,six
  • Delimiter: ,
  • Field Index: 3
  • Result Var: newString

The variable newString now would contain: one, two, four, five, six.

Supported Script Types

A square with a line branching from it that goes to three other squares.

Input Properties

These properties define data that the action uses when executing.

Property

Description

Add Caption

Enter a short phrase that uniquely identifies this action in the script. The caption appears on the script canvas under the action icon.

String The string you want to insert, search, or parse. This property supports variable substitution. If this value is a variable, rather than the literal string value, use curly brackets ( { } ).
Delimiter The character that will be used to separate each property. The default delimiter is a pipe character (|).

Field Index

An index of the property to be removed, starting with 1.

Result Var

The variable name that is created and holds returned information. For example, if the contact enters their account number as 123456, then the variable holds 123456.

Result Branch Conditions

Result branch conditions allow you to create branches in your script to handle different outcomes when an action executes.

Condition

Description

Default

Path taken unless the script meets a condition that requires it to take one of the other branches. It is also taken if the action's other branches are not defined.
